Buenos Aires Civic Park | Argentina

The City of Buenos Aires hosted an international competition of ideas and schematic designs, in two rounds, for the creation of an urban design plan for the new sector of the city, designated to house a conglomerate of institutional and administrative buildings. The sector is located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Barracas, and spans 29 hectares. The panel valued, over other bids, the high feasibility of the project, the combination of public and private use, its heterogeneous integration with existent surroundings, and the measures for preserving the original building and the open green spaces.
